Operation Kenova

Intelligence & analysis

Operation Kenova has a team of experienced analysts using bespoke software to interrogate large volumes of data and identify links across up to one million pages of information.

Drawing upon information from the HOLMES database, a comprehensive timeline of events and crimes forming part of the Op Kenova Terms of Reference has been completed.

From this, the investigation's analysts have identified links between previously unconnected events, information gaps and further lines of enquiry for investigators to examine.

Case comparison analysis has helped identify similarities between cases of murder and abduction. This has enabled Op Kenova to highlight key pieces of information to help determine which of the many criminal incidents meet the Terms of Reference.

At the same time, other cases have been identified which still require further investigation.
